Progressive socialist party leader Taymour Jumblatt announces that the block’s 8 members of parliament will be voting for Jihad Azour on the electoral session held on the 14th of June.
The declaration comes after much speculation on what will the party’s decision be with regards to the vital upcoming sessions, with lots of sources claiming that he will not go against the wishes of the Shiaa duo (Amal and Hezbollah) who themselves are fielding an opposing candidate former minister Suleiman Franjieh, although Jumblat and his father Walid have stated on multiple occasions that they do not see in Franjieh a fitting candidate for this time.
